Words of Wisdom

It is the summer of my 40th year and I would like to think I have acquired a little wisdom over the past four decades. Below are a few things I've learned:

  1. The only way to capture a floating Fall leaf on video is to sit in a tree for hours and drop them on command.
  2. Dogs and cats placed in a box together will never be best friends.
  3. A purple blouse hanging in the basement, a sharp knife and a bored boy can only lead to bad things.
  4. Skunks are not as playful as dogs think they are.
  5. A dog that has been sprayed by a skunk smells worse than you can imagine, and if she smells you can guarentee that you do after washing her.
  6. Although cowboy boots and space boots may share the same name, you will never be confused for Buck Rogers when you are wearing a pair of cowboy boots.
  7. Rafts purchased from the dollar store are not sturdy enough to withstand the Maumee river.

This is just the first installment, more to come on this.

This is a picture I took at Stan Hewitt Hall and Gardens this weekend. This surly looking cardinal was not happy with me snapping some shots of him taking a shower in a fountain. There are additional pictures from this weekend on my picture page to the right.

Enjoy!
